We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our Finance team. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Gather, verify and document all patient information in preparation for admission to Hospice including eligibility and benefits Verify all information entered into the electronic medical record is accurate including pay source, physician information, location, and room and board rates. Make necessary corrections in a timely manner. Perform all eligibility checks, billing & collections for Medicare patients utilizing the Medicare HIQA and DDE systems. Act as liaison with private insurance companies to secure authorization for Hospice services and with patients and families regarding any patient responsibility for payment. Post amounts received to open receivables. Skills and Qualifications : Working knowledge of accounts receivable processing including but not limited to coding invoices, check processing and staff and vendor relations. Proficient in Excel, Word and accounting systems software Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a part-time (24 hrs./week) benefitted position. Days/Hours are flexible.
