POSITION SUMMARY:

This unique ground floor opportunity is not only a chance to be part of a new and innovative business model, it is a chance to shape its development and participate financially in its success. GrapeSeed, a Healdsburg based Winery will soon open a retail experience in Downtown Healdsburg. GrapeSeed is seeking dynamic, entrepreneurial wine pros for its innovative tasting experience.

The ideal candidate is accomplished at wine service, highly knowledgeable of the luxury wine landscape and plugged into the local Healdsburg wine and food scene. Wine certified is a plus. Experience managing and executing luxury service in a restaurant or tasting room a must.
The primary mission is to execute a luxury, sit-down tasting experience, converting visitors to fans, buyers, and Partners (aka club members).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Execute the tasting experience daily.
• Foster a team approach that is success-oriented, places the highest priority on customer service and sales and is consistent, knowledgeable, efficient and professional.
• Conduct annual performance reviews of direct reports and provide ongoing feedback/coaching to achieve employee development and open communication.
• With Founders, execute annual marketing calendar, including email and telemarketing campaigns, social media, media relations and trade and consumer-facing events.
• Build strategic relationships with external business partners to maximize traffic, sales, and marketing initiatives.
• Participate in key consumer and trade events on/off-site
• Maximize membership conversion and retention to meet overall net membership growth goals.
• Develop and monitor competitive set. Monitor club programs and service and adjust to remain competitive and ‘best in class’.
• Possess or develop a commanding knowledge of mission-critical business system(s) in use by the department (i.e. CRM, ERP, POS, etc.).
• Oversee outreach activities and develop relationships with appropriate wineries, hotels and other referral sources.
• Be active in the community and in industry activities to ensure the winery remains best of class in its member experiences.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Service professionals with wine certification (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, Society of Wine Educators, etc) strongly preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in winery or hospitality positions
• Experience using CRM and/or Winery systems
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; telephone, email and in person; friendly, helpful and professional.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to handle customer service complaints and find effective resolutions.
• Ability to assist customers with web navigation and online account management.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Self-motivated.
• Proficient in operating a computer, all standard office equipment and MS Office including advanced Excel skills required.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
