Under minimal supervision responsible for functioning as the lead winery technician for The Ranch Winery cellar/bottling operations. Duties include: using WineManager, WMS, Barrel Tracking and other systems to monitor and execute work; coaching and monitoring crews; working with other departments to ensure the quality and efficiency of the operations; and driving continuous improvement. Also is required to adhere to all safety procedures and support quality and GMP standards.
:Work safely while completing all assigned tasks; report any observed unsafe acts or conditions; ensures the safety of other employees and visitors.
:Ensures that all Cellar team members adhere to all company policies and procedures.
:Understands and complies with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.
:Maintains housekeeping, sanitation, and GMP and PPE requirements.
:Initiates and participate in Kaizen / other projects; monitor and report on Kaizen / other projects.
:Assigns work orders; ensures that all employees are completing work orders to standard.
:Maintains crew productivity; trains and coaches new or existing employees as needed.
:Handles multiple priorities while ensuring the highest standards of product quality is met in the most cost:effective manner.
:Works with the Winemaking and Planning departments to create / adjust production schedules.
:Maintain clear and accurate communication (verbal and written) while working in close cooperation with all Napa/Sonoma Winery employees. Remain alert at all times; report any observed problems promptly to the Winery management team.
:Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
:Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

:High School Diploma or State:issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of wine production experience OR 8 years of Wine Production experience showing increased levels or responsibility.
:Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within the bottling room or cellar.
:Required to wear a respirator, when necessary.
:Required to undergo onsite forklift certification.
:High School Diploma or State:issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of wine production experience.
:Napa/Sonoma Wine Tech 3 level experience.
:Knowledge of basic winemaking (varietals, appellations, style).
:Knowledge of basic Wine Chemistry : Brix, alcohol, TA, pH, RS, VA,
