Job Description:/h3:
The Civil Engineer is responsible for completing work within the Civil Engineering Department. He/she will work with a multidisciplinary team of landscape architects, civil engineers, surveyors, designers and other project managers to continue providing exceptional service and designs for our clients. The Civil Engineer will work with the entire team to provide stormwater and erosion control design, grading and utility plans, and other generally provided plans. He/she will contribute to the assembly of the package, client meetings, presentations, etc. Using generally accepted engineering practices, project management software, and a computer aided design system (AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013), the Civil Engineer will help to maintain profitability of projects, client relationships, business development, drawings, and the specifications library.

The Civil Engineer should hold 8+ years of designing and drafting civil engineering projects, including all aspects of residential, commercial and municipal site development. The Civil Engineer must possess a commanding knowledge of civil engineering practices, including but not limited to, preparation of construction documents, manipulation of TIN surfaces, review of rough prints, preparation of plan and profile cross sections using Civil 3D tools, cut and fill calculations, alignment layouts, and pipe network design.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The Civil Engineer will:

Work as a part of the Civil Engineering Department to complete all projects.
:
Take on complex and diverse duties involving the application of standard procedures to a variety of details requiring independent analysis. Implement procedures and knowledge of interdepartmental and company policies and procedures.
:
Work cooperatively with the members of the team to ensure projects get completed on time and on budget.
:
Collaborate with management and ownership to direct Firma Design Groups growth and success.
:
Implement vision and future direction of company.
:
Acknowledge significance of role and responsibilities as being a crucial contribution to the overall success and direction of the company.
:
Maintain client relationship strategies and coordinate with other consultants as needed.
:
Work with team members to collaboratively execute a project from start to finish.
:
Put forth design efforts and in making selections to fit customer needs.
:
Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations.
:
Analyze and present company findings to the public on topics such as bid proposals, environmental impact statements, or property descriptions.
:
Develop cost estimates for materials, equipment, or labor to determine a projects economic feasibility.
:
Be responsible for final drawing format and dimension accuracy.
:
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
