You will be part of a product development team that designs, develops, and tests RF, microwave and optical test equipment. Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include evaluating a variety of RF and analog circuitry depending on project needs. Designs could cover amplifiers, filters, interface and control circuits , phase lock loops, fast switching attenuators, low noise/low distortion front ends, broadband baluns, low distortion multipliers, high power broadband outputs, low phase noise VCOs, covering frequencies from DC to 50 GHz. Optical measurements and components may also be part of your project. Accomplishing your engineering goals may require the use of test equipment, simulation, schematic capture and layout tools.
You will have a chance to learn about the effect of real world impairments on the performance of high frequency optical and electrical circuitry. The project involves learning measurement techniques on high frequency optical and electrical circuitry.
Job Qualifications 13;
*BSEE completed Junior, Senior, MSEE or PhD candidate
*Demonstrated ability to design microwave and RF circuits up to 50GHz (via work experience, lab work or simulation)
*Familiarly with Advanced Design Simulation (ADS) a plus
* Comfortable using Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers and Signal Sources to measure/debug a design
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team
* Strong oral and written communication skills
*Experience with RF/analog circuit analysis and design, CAD schematic tools, circuit simulation tools, and design evaluation
* A solid educational foundation in analog electronic circuit design and high frequency transmission line concepts
*Ability to evaluate alternative measurement approaches and reduce the most appropriate to practice
*Ability to write instrument control and test code utilizing SCPI command interface, C, C++, or C a plus
