Summary of Position:As a Project Engineer for Precision General Commercial Contractors, Inc., you will be assigned to one or more projects (depending upon need and size of projects). You will report to one or more of the following: the Senior Project Manager and/or the Project Manager. You will be expected to comply with the Precision GCC, Inc. Employment HandbookESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESQuality: When directed inspect and assure all products meet Quality Standards.Costs: Ensure any work approved meets our costs parameters, no work without an unapproved CO, make sure all CO's are not contract workSchedule: Ensure the project remains on scheduleTake direction from the Senior Project Manager and/or the Project Manager, who are overseeing project(s) to which you are assigned.Work with subcontractors to:obtain proposalshelp define/clarify scopes of work, review submittalsreview schedule and update as directedschedule and oversee progress of workencourage subcontractors to complete their work quickly and according to specificationsensure that subcontractors comply with all OSHA and safety standardsVerify completed work by subcontractors who are submitting invoices.Track completed work at assigned project(s).Understand and work on scheduling with Microsoft Project.Communicate with site management as to progress of work and notices.Do "hands-on" work at the site as needed and/or assigned to you. .Work with suppliers to:order needed supplies (using purchase order numbers)follow-up on order materials (ordered by PGCC or subcontractors)Assist with completion of weekly reports and submit to Project Executive by Monday of each week.Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:Education:High school graduate; Bachelor's degreeExperience and Skills:A minimum of three (3) years in Construction ManagementComputer Skills (Scheduling Programs, Microsoft)Demonstrated ability to problem solveExcellent organizational skills; detailed orientedDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesAble to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects accuratelyAbility to quickly and appropriately prioritize conflicting demandsPhysical Requirements:Possesses multi-limb and eye-hand coordinationAble to stand, bend, reach, stoop and lift boxes up to 30 lbs.Able to work in a pace environment for extended periods of timeAble to sit at desk, working on computer and phones for a full work dayAble to work overtime as neededAble to travel locally / stateSummary of Position:As a Project Engineer for Precision General Commercial Contractors, Inc., you will be assigned to one or more projects (depending upon need and size of projects).
